AUS vs AFG: Pat Cummins scripts history, claims 2nd hat-trick in T20 World Cup

Pat Cummins entered the history books as the first player to achieve two hat-tricks in T20 World Cups, during the Super 8 match between Australia and Afghanistan in St. Vincent Sunday.

Cummins claimed the wickets of Rashid Khan, Karim Janat, and Gulbadin Naib for this remarkable feat.

Previously, Cummins had secured a hat-trick in Australia’s opening Super match against Bangladesh. In the subsequent game against Afghanistan, he took Rashid’s wicket with the final delivery of the 18th over before being tasked with finishing the innings.

Cummins then proceeded to take out Janat and Naib with the first two balls of the 20th over, marking him as the first to claim two hat-tricks in T20 World Cups. This achievement also marked the fifth hat-trick by an Australian in T20Is and the third in a World Cup setting.
