Keonjhar: Police here on Wednesday arrested three more persons in connection with the attack bid on Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Niranjan Patnaik.
With this, the total arrest in connection with the case rose to 4.
As per preliminary reports, four to five miscreants intercepted Patnaik’s vehicle during his visit to Keonjhar district.
The incident occurred near Kashipur under the Town Police limits. The miscreants, in an inebriated state thrashed Patnaik’s driver and personal security officer (PSO).
In the meantime, an ambulance approached the spot and some Congress activists also reached there. The miscreants heard the siren of the ambulance and fled thinking that it was a police vehicle.
