Talcher: An assistant executive engineer of the rural water supply & sanitation division was caught red-handed by Vigilance sleuth while reportedly accepting bribe.
The accused has been identified as Santosh Kumar Sahoo.
According to reports, Sahoo has demanded bribe money from a person to clear his pending bills.
On being informed, the sleuths raided the AEE’s office and caught him red-handed while accepting the gratification.
Following the apprehension, simultaneous searches have been launched at the Govt quarter located at Talcher, Residential building at plot no-K 407, Kalinga Vihar, BBSR and paternal house at Bhapur, Dist Nayagarh.
In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS Case no -20/22 under sections-7 P.C Act,1988 as amended by the PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and investigated in this regard.
