New Delhi: Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh has advised soldiers to stay alert as ceasefire violations will take place along the LoC.

Singh told the jawans posted in northern Kashmir: “ Avalanches will take place, ceasefire violations will continue to take place, enemies will continue to try trespassing, but you must believe that you should always stay cautious and alert. You must take a step with all your intelligence.”

His visit comes just two days after a massive avalanche on Siachen glacier that resulted in the tragic death of four Indian Army jawans.

On Tuesday, Minister of State (MoS) for Home Affairs G Kishan Reddy informed the Parliament that Pakistan troops carried out 850 ceasefire violations since August 5 since the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.
