Bhubaneswar: Another bigwig landed in the net of Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Archana Nag blackmailing and honey trapping case.
A well-known businessman Amiya Das who had developed a relationship with the Nag through social media, appeared before the national agency over financial transaction between him and the blackmailer.
After coming out of the ED office, Das admitted before the media he had given Rs 7 lakh to Archana in two phases. He said that the woman had requested him for money for medical purposes.
ED sources said that Das had sent a bank cheque of Rs 10 lakh to the lady blackmailer.
The business man had come in contact with Archana through Facebook. Asked, whether he has ever visited the house of Archana, he remained silent and avoided the media query.
Notably, the ED has summoned some other influential persons for appearing before it.
Archana and her husband Jagabandhu Chand are behind the bars after being arrested for accumulating wealth by blackmailing prominent personalities.
