Bhubaneswar: Film producer Pramod Swain deposed before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday in connection with the Archana Nag sextortion case.
Allegedly, Archana was blackmailing Swain, the filmmaker revealed while stepping into ED office for appearance here today.
“Archana was blackmailing me & will share more details after presenting my stand before the Enforcement Directorate,” Said film producer Pramod Swain in his initial reaction.
According to reports, the woman blackmailer allegedly involved in a sextortion racket, used to stay at filmmaker Pramod Swain’s residence at Jagamara area on rent in the year 2016. Shradhanjali Behera, another accused in the money laundering case, was also the tenant of Swain during the period 2018.
The ED is investigating the financial transactions of Archana Nag and her husband after it was ascertained that the couple has amassed property worth rs 30 crore in a span of only four years from 2018. The couple was accused of blackmailing rich and influential persons and earning in crores by trapping them in the sex racket.
The ED has also interrogated Gangadhar Samal, a businessman and brother of a BJD MLA, after it was found that he has paid rs 30 lakh to Archana.
