Rahman will shortlist two winners who will get a chance to be on stage with Shahrukh Khan and A.R. Rahman at the Opening Ceremony of the Odisha Men’s Hockey Cup scheduled on November 27.

The participation needs a video to be uploaded on social media using the #HeartbeatsForHockey. AR Rahman with his twitter challenge has aroused further excitement in his fans to get on their feet to support the men in blue. This engaging challenge will give the country’s youth a unique opportunity of expressing their love for the sport, and for India, and to be part of a world stage.

About the step challenge:

The step: AR was inspired by the sound that the hockey stick makes as it hits the ground and that gave Jai India the beat, and from there emerged the step.

The step sees AR and SRK hold a hockey stick and pump it into the ground and then pump their hearts in a gesture that says out loud: my heart beats for hockey. Mera Dil Hockey ke liye dhadkata hai

The challenge: do the step, upload your video on ARR FB wall or your social media with the hashtag #HeartBeatsForHockey

Winners: SRK and ARR will choose two winners who will meet them on stage at the HWC Opening Ceremony as ARR performs Jai India Live on stage.

The Hockey World Cup song titled Jai Hind Hind, Jai India, in itself has pulsating rhythm composed by AR Rahman and magical lyrics penned by Gulzar. The music video will showcase the new India and have visual elements from the contemporary and urbane to the grassroot India even as it has as its core hockey and Team India. The electric video together with the HWC Song are sure to inspire every Indian to get behind Hockey, as the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018 kickstarts in a week’s time.

The song and video are slated to release on 23rd November and 25th November respectively.
