The Annual Flower Show 2025 at the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC), Ekamra Kanan, in Bhubaneswar has been extended by one day, announced Forest, Environment, and Climate Change Minister Ganesh Ram Singhkhuntia on Saturday.
The state government decided to extend the annual flower exhibition due to the overwhelming enthusiasm among people wanting to visit the show, as stated by the Minister.
The Annual Flower Show 2025, organized by the Regional Plant Resource Centre (RPRC) in collaboration with the Plant Lovers’ Association and Odisha Rose Society, is being held at the picturesque Ekamra Kanan Botanical Garden.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the annual flower exhibition on January 7. Originally scheduled to conclude on January 11, the exhibition will now run until January 12.
The event features stalls from 70 agencies across the state. Visitors can explore over 500 varieties of flowers, including roses, marigolds, dahlias, zinnias, and ferns. The exhibition showcases numerous types of cut flowers, bonsai plants, orchids, and themed gardens.
In addition to the floral displays, various cultural performances, including Odissi, Chhau, Sambalpuri, and Paika dances, were presented during the exhibition. A new gate complex, a colorful garden, and a cactus house were also inaugurated this year.
