Angul: Doctors in Angul District Headquarters Hospital were seen dispensing medical treatment to patients using mobile flashlights.
Reportedly, a youth, who met with a road accident near Mahidharpur Square under Banarpal block, was admitted to the hospital for immediate trauma care. However, due to the lack of electric supply in the dressing room, doctors commenced the treatment using a mobile flashlight.
Locals alleged that the lackadaisical attitude of the medical authorities and district administration is risking their lives.
Earlier last week, doctors were seen treating critical patients with the help of torch and mobile flashlights at Cuttack SCB Medical College and Hospital due to sudden power outage.
