Amit Shah criticizes Mamata over refugee crisis in West Bengal
Midnapore: Bharatiya Janata Party president Amit Shah on Tuesday took a dig at West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee over refugee crisis.
Shah said if the BJP comes to power they will grant citizenship to all refugees of the state.
Dwelling upon Citizenship (Amendment) Bill Shah said the TMC welcomes infiltrators and Rohingyas but there is no place here for the refugees.
Shah promised the refugees that the BJP and Narendra Modi government will grant them the citizenship.
The BJP president criticized Mamata government in a rally in East Midnapore region saying that the promise of ‘Shonar Bangla’, or ‘golden Bengal’ has not become a reality.
Shah said that the upcoming Lok Sabha polls might seem like a campaign to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister for a second term but for the party, it is more of a promise to fulfill the ‘golden Bengal’ promise that the TMC could not deliver.
