Bhubaneswar: Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Bhubaneswar today to attend the highly anticipated Director Generals and Inspector Generals of Police (DG-IGP) conference.
Shah received a warm welcome at the airport, where he was greeted by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, BJP Odisha Chief Manmohan Samal, BJP National Vice President Baijayant Panda, and other senior leaders.
The three-day conference, which is being held at the Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Centre, will focus on various aspects of national security, including counter-terrorism, coastal security, and new criminal laws. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to preside over the conference, which will also see the participation of National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and other top officials.
The event aims to enhance India’s internal security apparatus and address emerging challenges. Extensive deliberations on improving public safety and policing strategies are on the agenda. The presence of high-profile leaders underscores the importance of this conference in shaping the country’s security policies.
