Alert! 5 Odisha Dists To Witness Heavy Rainfall In Next 24 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: As many as five districts of Odisha will witness heavy rain in the next 24 hours, informed the Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) Regional Centre.

The alert has been sounded for Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, and Jharsuguda.

As per the midday bulletin of the IMD, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts in the next 24 hours.

While no major weather activity has been reported for the subsequent two days, more rainfall activity is expected across several districts of the State from September 25, said the IMD.

Similarly, thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur atone or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on the day.

On September 26, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, and Ganjam are likely to experience heavy rainfall at one or two places.

Thunderstorm with lightning are also likely to strike at one or two places in the districts of Nuapada, Kalahandi, Balangir, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Malkangiri, Koraput, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Gajapati.
