New Delhi: Denizens of Delhi got respite as overall AQI came down to 201 on Friday, according to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR).
SAFAR said the improvement was observed in the air quality of several areas in Delhi due to a decrease in both PM10 and PM2.5 pollutants.
Delhi’s Chandni Chowk had PM10 pollutants at 266 and PM2.5 pollutants at 330. Meanwhile, Lodhi Road had PM10 pollutants at 124 while the PM2.5 pollutants in the area were recorded as 201.
On Thursday morning, the overall AQI of the national capital was recorded as 346. It had initially been predicted that the level of air pollution in Delhi would reduce by Friday.
