Lucknow: The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has said it will file a review petition against the Supreme Court’s verdict on the Ayodhya.

Senior advocate Zafaryab Jilani said the AIMPLB will file the review plea before the 30-day limit which expires on December 9. Jilani however, said : “The date for filing the review petition cannot be announced as of now as it is yet to be decided on whose behalf it will be filed”.

The apex court had ordered to allot a five-acre plot of alternative land to Muslims for the purpose of construction of a mosque.

The UP Sunni Waqf Board had already announced that it would not challenge the Supreme Court verdict. The AIMPLB said the decision of the Sunni Waqf Board, one of the main litigants in the Ayodhya case, would not legally affect it.
