Mandalay: Indian football team registered their second straight win in the AFC Olympic Qualifiers Round 2 as they beat Nepal 3-1 at Mandalarthiri Stadium in Myanmar on Saturday.
With this, India clinched top spot in Group A with six points in two games. India will now face Myanmar in the next match on Tuesday.
India’s first goal came in the 6th minute from Punam Jargha Magar but courtesy a speedy move from the Indian team.
Despite playing some decent football in the midfielder, India was unable to provide the finishing touches as the half time scoreline read 1-1.
Later, the India team displayed a good performance in the second half with two more goals. However, India registered a comfortable win with a 3-1 scoreline.
