New Delhi: An election rally of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in West Bengal was cancelled on Wednesday following vandalism.
BJP sources said that Adityanath’s rally in Phool Bagan area in Kolkata was cancelled after the stage was vandalised.
This incident comes close on the heels of a road show in Kolkata in which the saffron party chief Amit Shah had participated. He was attacked in the road show. However, Shah escaped unhurt as he was escorted to safety.
Party sources said Shah has instructed Adityanath to attend all three rallies in the state.
Addressing media persons Shah alleged TMC was behind the violence in West Bengal.
