New Delhi: Acer Swift 3 has made its India debut and the Taiwanese manufacturer claims it is the first laptop to be powered by the AMD Ryzen 4000 series processor in the country.
The Acer Swift 3 is priced starting at Rs. 59,999 for the base 8GB RAM + 512GB storage variant. The laptop will be available in a Silver colour option and is listed for sale on the Acer India website. It will also be available through authorised retail outlets as well.
The Acer Swift 3 comes with a 7nm AMD Ryzen 5 4500U processor and an Radeon GPU. The base version comes with 8GB of RAM and a 512GB NVMe SSD. The 14-inch FHD IPS LCD panel comes with Acer’s ComfyView technology. The 16mm thin Mg-Al alloy laptop weighs only 1.4 kilograms, making it ideal for people on the go. However, the sleek form factor makes it so that users get significantly fewer I/O options. The Acer Swift 3 comes with one USB Type-C port with DC-in, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port with power-off charging, one USB 2.0 port, and an HDMI port.
Some of the other features include support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, and Windows Hello. Acer claims that the Swift 3’s 48 Wh 3-cell Li-ion battery can provide up to eleven hours of backup, and that half an hour of charge is enough to power the laptop for up to four hours. On the software side of things, you get a pre-activated copy of Windows 10 Home and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019 out of the box.
