Bhubaneswar: The Athletic Federation of India (AFI) on Wednesday nominated ace female sprinter from Odisha Dutee Chand for the Arjuna Award.
Earlier, the Odisha government had also recommended Dutee’s name for this award.
The AFI panel is chaired by World Championship medallist Anju Bobby George.
The panel also nominated 2018 Asian Games gold-medallists, triple jumper Arpinder Singh, and middle-distance specialist Manjit Singh.
Radhakrishnan Nair has been nominated for Dronacharya Award while Kuldip Singh Bhullar and Jincy Philip were nominated for Dyanchand award.
The athletics federation also recommended Neeraj Chopra for Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratan award.
