Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke has challenged BJP leaders to disclose their academic qualifications after a BJP worker reportedly sought details of his education through a Right to Information (RTI) application.

Dipke said he is prepared to make his scholarship and education loan documents public and questioned why his educational background had become a political issue.

‘I Will Reveal My Scholarship Documents’

In a post on X, Dipke wrote:

“I am ready to reveal my scholarship letter and education loan letter. Will the emperor show his degree?”

The remark was widely interpreted as a reference to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a video message, Dipke claimed that a BJP worker had filed an RTI seeking details of how he financed his higher education in the United States.

Questions BJP Over Degree Issue

Responding to the reported RTI, Dipke questioned why his educational qualifications were under scrutiny and asked whether BJP leaders would also disclose their academic credentials.

He said he had no objection to making his educational records public and challenged political leaders to do the same.

Explains Funding for US Education

Dipke reiterated that his studies in the United States were financed through a combination of a scholarship and an education loan.

According to him, he received a scholarship from Boston University and also took an education loan, which he said is yet to be fully repaid.

He added that anyone was free to verify the information.

Boston University Qualification

Dipke holds a Master of Science in Public Relations from the College of Communication at Boston University, Massachusetts.

He returned to India in June before emerging as one of the prominent faces of the nationwide student protests led by the Cockroach Janta Party.

Comes Amid Ongoing Political Debate

The latest remarks come amid an ongoing political debate over Dipke’s educational qualifications and the funding of his studies abroad.

The controversy began after a BJP worker reportedly filed an RTI application seeking information related to his academic background.

At the time of publication, there was no immediate response from the BJP regarding Dipke’s latest remarks.

Earlier Rejected Bangladesh Protest Comparison

Earlier on Monday, Dipke also rejected comparisons between the CJP-led student protests and the 2024 Bangladesh student movement, saying the two were fundamentally different and accusing critics of attempting to defame the organisation.
