Cuttack: Bidanasi police have arrested a youth for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl in the district. Besides, police rescued the minor girl.
The accused person has been identified as Deepak Nayak from Stewartpatana.
Reportedly, the matter came to fore after the family member of the minor girl lodged a complaint in the local police station. On the basis of the FIR, police had registered a case and initiated a probe.
While the girl student was rescued and was dropped Basundhara, she fled away once again. Following this, the family member again lodged a complaint.
She was then traced by police in Nayagarh, and arrested the accused person from the spot.
Later, the accused was forwarded to the court and handed over the minor to their family.
