Puri: An abandoned newborn baby girl was found near Chorapada in Balanga area of Puri district on Sunday morning.
According to reports, the matter came to the fore after some locals spotted the abandoned newborn baby girl on the roadside near Chorpada.
Later, the baby was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Reportedly, the condition of the newborn is stated to be stable now. However, the baby’s identity is yet to be ascertained.
Following this, police have registered a case and further investigation is underway in this regard.
