Kandhamal: An abandoned newborn baby boy was rescued by a team of Phulbani Childline officials near Kendupadar Sevashram today.
Reportedly, the matter came to fore after some locals spotted the baby lying in the bush and immediately alerted the Childline officials about the matter.
On intimation, the officials reached the spot and rescued the newborn. Later, the baby was rushed to the hospital for a health checkup and kept in the special newborn care unit (SNCU) for further care.
