New Delhi: The AAP has raised question on the Election Commission’s delay in the release of voting percentage. It has alleged foul play in the overall process.
Addressing a presser on Sunday, the AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh urged the poll body to come out with the data at the earliest. He has demanded clarification over the delay.
Singh said: “Elections concluded yesterday but so far no Election Commission official has made any authorized statement on the voting percentage”. According to the Election Commission’s Voter Turnout app, Delhi recorded a voter turnout of over 61 per cent in the bitterly contested Assembly election with the polling having picked up the pace by the evening.
