Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has issued a notification for the first phase election of the members of the Committees of the Primary Cooperative Societies.
According to a notification issued by the Cooperation department, the first phase election will be held on June 19 and 26.
“Whereas the State Co-operative Election Commission have recommended to the State Government 19.06.2022 and 26.06.2022 as the dates as required under rule 3(1-a) of the Odisha Co-operative Societies (Election to the Committees) Rules, 1992 vide letter No.606/SCEC dated 30.03.2022 to hold the first phase of the election of the Members of the Committees of the Primary Co-operative Societies in the State,” the letter read.
“Now, therefore, the State Government do hereby publish 19.06.2022 and 26.06.2022 as the dates for the first phase of the election of the Members of the Committees of the Primary Co-operative Societies in the State as required under sub-rule (1-a) of rule 3 of the Odisha Co-operative Societies (Election to the Committees) Rules, 1992 calling upon the Primary Co-operative Societies to elect Members of the Committees of such Societies in accordance with the provisions of the Odisha Co-operative Societies Act, 1962 and the rules made thereunder,” the letter further read.
