Bhubaneswar: In another major step towards employment generation through industrialisation, the land allotment to the investment proposals have been fast tracked with tabling of the projects in High level Land Allotment Committee meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in Lok Seva Bhawan conference hall today wherein Principal Secretary and Chief Managing Director (CMD) Industrial Development Corporation (IDCO) Sanjay Kumar Singh outlined the technical and financial details of the projects. Considering various dimensions of the projects, the committee recommended the proposals to Government for next level consideration.
While giving nod to the proposals, the Chief Secretary directed to do due diligence about the quantum of land required for various types of industrial units. Tripathy emphasized on hundred percent utilisation of the allotted land for industrial purposes.
Replying to a media query after the meeting, IDCO CMD SK Singh said, “These Units are in different sectors like food processing, manufacturing, establishment of logistic park and renewable energy. Mostly, the units are MSMEs having enormous potential for employment generation. They will also boost up economic activities at the ground level”. The proposals were recommended for land allotment in Bhubaneswar Master Plan area including Gothpatana, Infocity, Infovalley, Seafood Park, industrial estates at Khordha, Kholadwar, Jayamangal, Chhatabar, Anlapatna, Bhagbanpur and Mancheswar.
Additional Chief Secretary Forest & Environment Dr Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary Industry Hemant Kumar Sharma, Principal Secretary Law Sashikanta Mishra, Principal Secretary Skill Development & Technical Education and CMD IDCO Sanjay Kumar Singh along with other senior officers from concerned departments participated in deliberations.
