New Delhi: Minister of State (MoS) for Defence Shripad Naik on Monday said 950 incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistan were reported along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.
The minister further informed that there were 79 incidents of ceasefire violations along the International Border in the Jammu region during the last three months from August to October.
The Central government on August 5 had announced the abrogation of the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution. The state was bifurcated into two Union Territories.
Three Army personnel were martyred and seven others injured during the last three months, the minister added.
Naik also said the Indian Army personnel have retaliated to the ceasefire violations effectively.
