7th Pay Commission: Odisha PSU employees to get revised salary

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday ordered for a revision of salary for employees of State PUSs as per recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission.

The revision will be effective retrospectively from January 1, 2016, a statement issued by the CMO said.

In August last year, the Naveen had announced to implement the recommendation of the pay panel retrospectively from January 1, 2016.

Later, the State Cabinet had approved a proposal to implement the recommendations in September 2017.

This would benefit over eight lakh state government employees and pensioners. The dearness allowance will be included with emoluments for calculation of Death cum Retirement Gratuity (DCRG). Earlier, the gratuity was calculated on the basic pay only.

The contractual job holders employed under the state government will also get the benefit as the government has decided to enhance their remuneration by about 25 per cent.
