Malkangiri: As many as seven persons including a police constable from Telangana were arrested by Kalimela police on charges of their involvement in cannabis smuggling in Malkangiri district on Thursday.
The constable has been identified as R Sreeny Naik.
The accused were nabbed with 103 kg of ganja worth around Rs 5 lakh. Two cars, three iPhones, ATM cards, PAN cards and Aadhaar cards were seized from their possession.
Kalimela police arrested the accused persons, all from Telangana, near Kamala Padar area during night patrolling.
