6 More Die Of Coronavirus In Odisha


Bhubaneswar: Six more COVID-19 patients succumbed to the virus on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 48. This was informed by the State Health Department.





Besides, one more person who tested Covid-19 positive died today due to other health complications.

As many as 527 persons tested positive for Covid-19 including 338 from quarantine centres and 189 from local contacts in the last 24 hours in Odisha.

While the highest 215 coronavirus cases have been reported from Ganjam district, Sundargarh comes next with 78 cases, Khurda (50), Balasore (26), Jajpur (25), Bolangir (21), Nayagarh (18), Cuttack (17), Puri (16), Mayurbhanj (10), Keonjhar (7), Koraput (6) and Sonepur 5 cases.

Similarly, four cases each were detected from Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda and Nuapada districts. Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Gajapati and Malkangiri reported three cases each, Bhadrak two cases and Angul, Bargarh, Dhenkanal, Rayagada and Sambalpur reported one each case.
