Mumbai: Moneymakers numbers keep increasing in the country with latest tax figures revealed by Income Tax Department informed that number of people earning more than Rs. 1 crore annually have increased by 10 per cent while those earning between Rs. 50 lakh to One crore have incremented by 22 per cent.
According to the data in the year 2014-15 , 45,027 people had gross an income between RS 1 crore and RS 5 crore. On the other hand, also 98,815 people had gross an income more than Rs 50 lakh but less than Rs 1 crore. Nearby about 3,000 people earn more than Rs 5 crore annually.
Similarly, the report also said, a total 54,921 people drew annual salaries of Rs 50 lakh to Rs 1 crore and 24,942 people earned above Rs 1 crore. Of this 928 people had a salary between Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore annually. A total of 32 people had annual income between Rs 25 crore to Rs 50 Crore, and 10 people had annual income between Rs 50 crore to Rs 100 crore. Likewise 2 of them have earned more than above Rs 100 crore.
