Deogarh: While the number of the COVID-19 positive cases continues to rise with every passing day, scores of police personnel in Deogarh have been infected by COVID-19.
As per reports, around 47 personnel of Reserve Police Campus, who were deployed in the shutdown and lockdown duties, have been tested positive for Coronavirus.
Meanwhile, Reamal Court sub-inspector Bhavani Shankar Samal’s health condition is stated to be critical and he is being treated in Burla hospital.
The district police are facing difficulties to manage the COVID-19 situation as a number of officials have taken ill. However, Reserve Police Jawans have been replaced by the 4th IRB Battalion, based at Bamparda, informed SP Manoj Kumar Mahant.
