Nuapada: As many as 47 migrant labourers including nine children were rescued while being trafficked to Hyderabad on Friday.
According to reports, among the rescued labourers 38 were adults and nine were children. They were from Bolangir, Kalahandi, and Kandhamal districts.
Acting on a tip-off, the Nuapada police conducted a raid and rescued the migrant workers from a passenger bus while being transported to Hyderabad.
Moreover, the cops have also arrested the bus driver and the conductor after sending the labourers to their homes. Further investigation is underway in this regard, police said.
