4 Missing As Boat Capsizes In Brahmani River

Dhenkanal: At least four persons went missing after a boat ferrying them capsized in Brahmani river of Dhenkanal district today.

According to sources, the mishap occurred when the boat carrying nine persons from Khadagprasad village was on its way to Kundandeipur ghat today. While six of them were workers, one was a mushroom seller and two others were boatmen.

After the boat capsized, six persons managed to swim ashore while four others were missing. The missing persons have been identified as Bijay Nayak, Sushant Sahu and Ramesh Sahu of Rood village and Biswajit Acharya of Kundandeipur village in Dhenkanal district.

On getting information, Parajang fire brigade personnel and a team of ODRAF have rushed to the spot and were carrying out search operations to trace the missing persons.
