Ganjam: Nearly four houses were gutted in fire after a major fire broke out at Jhadankuli village in Ganjam district late last night.
According to officials, No casualties have been reported so far. Properties worth lakhs were reduced to ashes.
Sources said, the fire mishap took place at a house in Dakhina Sahi of Jhadankuli when the family members were fast asleep. Later, they noticed smoke emanating and rushed out of the house immediately. The fire engulfed the nearby houses within moments.
On being informed, firefighters rushed to the scene and doused the flames. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
