Bhubaneswar: Khandagiri police on Thursday arrested four burglars and seized Rs 26 lakh cash from them during the investigation of a house burglary in Prakruti Vihar on 15th October.
The arrested persons have been identified as Pradeep alias Manas Chinera (32) of Cuttack Bidanasi, Suman alias Baishnav Ojha (28) of Jagatsinghpur Balikuda, Tutu alias Padmalochan Mallik (37) Khordha Bharatpur, and Adhir Ojha (27) of Jagatsinghpur Erasama.
A total of Rs-26 lakhs in cash has been sized from the possession of the arrested accused persons, the police said adding that they will be brought on remand for further interrogation.
Based on a complaint of Hadibandhu Behera, Khandagiri police registered a case No -459 bt 16.10.2023, U/s-457/380 IPC regarding the theft of gold jewellery worth Rs 40 lakhs.
