Bhubaneswar: The state-level award for fine arts for the year 2020-21 by Lalit Kala Academy has been announced on Tuesday.
Eight artistes have been adjudged for prizes for their work. They are Biswaranja Kar, Sudhiranjan Maharathi, Sujit Kumar Swain, Bikash Chandra Senapati, Surya Kanta Swain, Anup Kumar Chand, Jyoti Prakash Sethi and Pramod Kumar Moharana.
The photocopies 829 artistic works of 515 artistes were accepted for the 39th state-level fine arts exhibition.
The prize-winning artistes will be awarded Rs 2 lakh, certificate, plaque and shawl by the end of this month. All the prize-winning works will be published in a colourful magazine.
The programme was coordinated by Academy’s President Padmashri Sudarshan Patnaik, Director of Odia language, literature and culture Rajan Kumar Das, OSD Manswini Sahu and Secretary of the Academy Gajendra Prasad Sahu.
