342 new COVID-19 positive cases detected, 387 cured in Bhubaneswar
Bhubaneswar: As many as 342 new COVID-19 positive cases have been detected under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) area in the last 24 hours.
As per BMC, of the 342 new COVID-19 positive cases, 98 are Quarantine Cases and all are linked with earlier positive cases. Besides, 244 are Local Contact Cases.
This apart, 387 persons have also recovered from the infection of Novel Coronavirus.
Further contact tracing is still continuing. Primary contacts & nearby houses are being quarantined, sanitised & will be under active surveillance, the BMC said. The civic body also informed that all the new positive cases have been shifted to COVID Hospital.
So far a total of 16,933 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in Bhubaneswar, out of which, 4,568 are active cases while 12,288 persons have recovered and 64 have succumbed to the deadly infection of COVID-19.
