3-Day observation for Capital Foundation Day from 13th April


Bhubaneswar: The 69th Capital Foundation Day will be observed with all preparations for three consecutive days starting from April 13 to 15. At a high level meeting, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi on March 30 directed all departments of to keep coordination and make the event a grand success.

In view of the historic event for Bhubaneswar, a detail schedule has been prepared for organizing different programmes on the occasion. A parade involving students of various educational institutions will be hosted from Rabindra Mandap to the Jaydev Bhawan on April 13 morning.

The parade will be hosted by the chief guest and honoree, the Speaker of State Assembly. Similarly, a host of other events would be held in front of the Assembly building.

However, observation of various events, cultural programmes over the three days, light decorations of different buildings and government offices, photo exhibition, publicity activities, drinking water provision at the venues, fire safety and hygiene, traffic control, first aid and ambulance services, law and order were discussed during the meeting.
