29 killed as bus falls into 50-feet drain on Yamuna Expressway


New Delhi: At least 29 people were killed while several others injured after the bus they were travelling in fell into a 50 feet long drain on Yamuna Expressway on Monday morning.

According to sources, the bus, carrying around 46 people was en route to Delhi from Lucknow this morning when the accident happened. While 29 persons were killed, 24 others sustained critical injuries.

On being informed about the matter, police reached the spot and carried a rescue operation. The injured were rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital. Reportedly, the health condition of 11 persons is stated to be critical.
