Peshawar: At least 25 people were killed and more than 35 others injured in a powerful bomb blast at a busy market outside a religious seminary in northern Pakistan on Friday.
The explosion took place near an imambargah, a Shia religious place, in Aurakzai tribal district’s Kalaya.
The explosive material was planted in a bike in Friday Market (Juma Bazar). The bomb went off when the people were busy buying warm clothes killing at least 25 while more than 35 were injured.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police are on high alert following the Orakzai blast and a separate attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi on Friday morning.
