Berhampur: In a crackdown on narcotics smuggling in Ganjam district, Excise department officials have seized 2 tonnes of ganja from a poultry feed-laden truck near Ganisi area on NH-16 here.
Reportedly, one person has been detained in this connection.
On the basis of specific intelligence input, officers intercepted a truck that was carrying ganja [cannabis] which was concealed below poultry feed.
The truck was carrying nearly 2 tonnes of contraband estimated to be worth over Rs 3 crore. One person was arrested in connection with the recovery.
