Kandhamal: Excise officials seized 17kg of ganja from a vehicle at Sadhan Chakk near FCI, Phulbani in Kandhamal district and arrested one person.
The arrested accused has been identified as Ranjan Kumar Sahoo from Deogarh district.
Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted the vehicle and arrested one person. The cops also seized 17kg of contraband and the vehicle which was being used in smuggling cannabis.
A case has been registered in this regard and further investigation is underway into the matter, the police said.
