Bhubaneswar: In view of problems in getting slot for High Security registration Plate (HSRP), the State transport authority issued a notification asking the concerned officials not to impose fine on those who have applied before the deadline.
The vehicle owners will have to show application slip to the enforcement officials at any check point to get rid of hefty fine.
The notification of the transport department came as big relief for the vehicle owners who have waited for long time to get a slot.
The problem over slot booking arose due to a sudden rush in registration.
The vehicle owners without having HSRP will have to pay up to Rs 10,000 fine.
