Keonjhar: As many as 17 passengers including four minors sustained critical injuries after a bus they were travelling in overturned near Kaliprasad Tarini temple on National Highway-20 in Keonjhar district today.
Reportedly, the incident took place when the bus was en route to Champua. Unfortunately, the driver lost control over the wheels and the vehicle turned turtle.
Following this, 17 passengers sustained critical injuries. However, the helper and the driver of the bus fled from the spot soon after the mishap to escape the wrath of the passengers.
Later, the locals rescued and rushed the injured persons to the hospital for treatment.
On receiving information, police reached the spot and launched a probe in this regard.
