Phulnakhara: Police reportedly seized 17 hyva trucks for allegedly being involved in illegal sand mining at Sidhua River near Baialish Mouja area.
The seizure came after the direction of DCP Pratik Singh.
A team led by Cuttack Commissionerate police zone-4 ACP Chandan Ghadei and Cuttack Sadar IIC Sudhanshu Bhusan Jena conducted a raid and seized all the vehicles engaged in the illegal mining.
The cops also imposed a fine of Rs 75,000 per vehicle.
Several other officers were also present during the raid, sources informed.
