New Delhi: Twelve Opposition MPs were on Monday suspended from the Rajya Sabha for the rest of the Winter Session on account of ‘unruly behaviour’. The action has been taken against them for indiscipline in the monsoon session of the house.
The suspended members are–Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi, Trinamool MP Dola Sen, Elamaram Kareem (CPM), Congress’s Phulo Devi Netam, Chhaya Verma, R Bora, Rajamani Patel, Syed Nasir Hussain, Akhilesh Prasad Singh, CPI’s Binoy Viswam, TMC’s Shanta Chhetri and Shiv Sena’s Anil Desai.
The Winter Session of Parliament began today and is likely to conclude on December 23. During the session, 26 bills will be listed for introduction.
