12 Places In Odisha Record Above 40 °C, Sonepur Sizzles At 42.1 °C

Bhubaneswar: As many as 12 places in Odisha recorded 40 °C with Sonepur becoming the hottest town maximum day temperature of 42°C.

According to Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center, Boudh recorded 42 °C, Angul 41.9 °C, Baripada 40 °C, Jharsuguda 40.4 °C, Sundergarh 41 °C, Phulbani 40 °C, Titilagarh 41 °C, Nayagarh 40 °C, and Bhawanipatna 40.6 °C.

The Twin Cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded maximum day temperature of 37.4°C and 39.7 oC

Similarly, Balasore recorded 36 °C, Chandbali 37.5°C, Paradip 32.1°C, Gopalpur 32.4°C, Gopalpur 32.4°C, Puri 33.4°C, Keonjhar 37.8°C, and Sambalpur & Hirakud 39.7°C.

Besides, Koraput recorded 35.6°C, Daringbadi 35°C, Chhatrapur and Paralakhemundi 34.8°C and Rayagada 34.2°C.
