12 hurt as bus overturns in Sundargarh’s Jalda


Rourkela: As many as 12 persons sustained injuries after the bus they were travelling in overturned near Jalda in Sundargarh district on Wednesday.

According to sources, a private bus named ‘Parvati’ carrying around 40 passengers was en route to Tensa town from Rourkela when it was hit by a speeding Hyva near Jalda. Following this, the driver of the bus lost control over the wheels and the vehicle dashed into a roadside culvert.

While 12 persons suffered injuries, the health condition of five is stated to be critical.

Reportedly, all the injured persons have been admitted to the district headquarters hospital. However, one critically injured person has been shifted to Ispat General Hospital (IGH) in Rourkela.
