11 Teachers, Students Test COVID Positive In Kandhamal
Kandhamal: As many as 11 teachers and students have tested positive for COVID-19 in Kandhamal district after the reopening of schools.
As per reports, four teachers, including the Headmaster of K Nuagaon Ashram School and seven students, including four boys of Class 9 and 10 have contracted the deadly virus. Soon after the reports, they have been kept under home isolation.
Earlier, as many as 31 teachers and students of Gajapati district had tested positive for the virus on January 9.
It is pertinent to mention classes of Class 10 students will continue till April 26 while Class 12 students will attend their classes till April 28.
As per the decision of the Odisha Government, students of Classes 10 and 12 are to attend classes non-stop for 100 days, except Saturdays and Sundays for Board examination preparation. Students have, however, been asked to attend classes with their parents’ prior approval.
