Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued thunderstorm and rainfall alert for 11 Odisha districts.
The districts for which the alert have been issued are Nuapada, Bolangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Kandhamal, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Angul, Deogarh, Sundargarh and Keonjhar.
As per the latest IMD bulletin, few places in these districts will witness rainfall till 10.15 am today.
Earlier yesterday, special relief commissioner (SRC) Bishnupada Sethi issued an advisory to district collectors in view of heavy rain prediction in Odisha for the next three days.
He also advised other districts to closely watch the situation and take appropriate steps. He also asked the officials to issue warning to fishermen.
